STUDENT HOUSING

Student housing is a popular approach to architecture for people in the same situation. We made use of our own needs in everyday life according to the life and lifestyle of students in Oslo. The site is right between an existing building and the river Akerselva. We made two buildings connected with a bridge as communiaction. The north building is lower than the building in south to allow sun in the evening. The units are relatively small and serves both singles and couples. Two appartments are wheelchair-friendly. The buildings are made of on site concrete with a brick fasad. The door color scheme is from Le Corbusier’s LC 43 scheme, from 1943. The colors harmoize with natural elements, such as plants, sand, concrete and clay.
